Cville Living

Greetings, and welcome to Charlottesville!  Due to the presence of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville does not typify a smaller southern town. The University draws a rich diversity of people from all over the world to the community. This eclectic blend of people brings with them a support of arts and entertainment not often found in a community of this size. Additionally, many residents, who have the option of living anywhere they wish, have chosen to call Charlottesville home. This further enriches the blend of people creating a bit of a cosmopolitan atmosphere in a small town.

The area is blessed with natural beauty, lying in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Extensive park lands form the western boundary of Albemarle County and feature treasures such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. Protection of this natural beauty is a job the local government has taken seriously. Thousands of acres of county farmland have been placed under land use protection through conservation easements. Development is focused in defined areas with the goal preserving as much as practical the scenic beauty of the county. High quality public schools further add to the appeal of the area.

Options for housing types follow these same eclectic trends. From country estates with mountain views, to loft living above the downtown mall, the area offers many different choices for types of settings, architecture, and lifestyle. Price ranges vary as well with townhomes starting in the upper $100’s to multi-million dollar estates. Rental options for nicer properties generally begin at about $1,400. This broad diversity of housing options is easily found within a 30 minute drive of town. Visit our web site to view the full selection of available properties.
